Obituary of Claire E. Muller Domino


Claire E. Mueller Domino, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at UPMC Hamot Hospital after a long illness. She was born August 8, 1948 in Erie, the daughter of Claire (Rensel) Muller and the late Ralph C. Muller.

Claire has had a long career as an insurance professional. She began her career with Robinson & Conner Insurance and was an agent with State Farm Insurance. After that, she continued to work for her 34 years at Domino Insurance Company along with her husband. She enjoyed gardening, interior decorating, boating, traveling, crafting, and most of all attending her family gatherings. She loved dogs, especially her dog Savio.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Domino;

Claire is survived by two sons, Brian Swarn (Sarah Glanville) and Alex Domino. her brother, R. Erich Muller; her sisters, Suzanne Courtney (Robert) and Karen Balzer (Leroy); and her grandchildren, Meeka and Griffin Swanville. She is also survived by several step-children, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends are invited to call at the John R. Orlando Funeral Home, 2122 Raspberry Street, on Monday, March 18th from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. You may also attend the service there on Tuesday, March 19th at 9:30am. A funeral mass will follow at 10 a.m. at St. George's Church, 5145 Peach Street, with burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The Mass will be live-streamed on the church's website (https://stgeorgeerie.org/live/). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org) or the Hamot Health Foundation (www.hamothealthfoundation.org).
