Jon Bon Jovi Is Going All Out with New Hulu Documentary Series

Bon Jovi Looking back on their 40-year career in a new four-part documentary Thank You and Good Night: The Bon Jovi Storyand the leader Jon Bon Jovi told ABC Audio he was extremely proud of the final product.

“Overall, it's a very moving piece of work, seeing your life flash before your eyes,” he said. “You're showing everything. You're putting all your cards on the table.

As for why he felt now was the perfect time to delve so deeply into the band, Jon said, “I just felt like it was an opportunity for us to commemorate the 40th anniversary and kind of look back on it while I'm at it, first of all.”

There's no doubt that Bon Jovi's loyal fan base will be tuning in – and while some may think they know everything there is to know about the band, Jon thinks there are still plenty of fans out there who can relate to how the band got there to this day.

“I think people think these songs just fall from the sky and then we do things,” he said. “It takes a lot of effort to make it look easy.”

But will this documentary bring Bon Jovi a new group of fans? Jon isn't so sure.

“That's the fun thing about putting out documentaries,” he said. “Even if you have an opinion about something, how others see and perceive it is completely beyond your control.”

Thank You and Good Night: The Bon Jovi Story Premieres on Hulu on Friday, April 26th.
