Commuter PA gives away gift cards to record bike trips

In honor of National Bicycle Month, Commute PA is encouraging riders to log their bike rides for rewards and a chance to win a $100 gift card.

“Cycling not only provides physical exercise but also enhances mood,” the York-based nonprofit said in a press release. “Besides the personal benefits, cycling is good for the environment.”

Cyclists can get rewarded by signing up for Commute PA, a free app that earns points for recording trips on bikes and other eco-friendly commutes.

Commute PA said in a press release that the app can sync with wearable devices such as Fitbit, Garmin or Strava so riders can easily log their rides.

Throughout the month of May, Commute PA is also offering a chance to win one of three $100 Tango gift cards.

To be eligible to win, cyclists must:

• Like one of Commute PA's social media pages.

• Like, comment, share or retweet at least one of Commute PA’s social media posts every Wednesday in May.

• Record at least 5 bike trips in Commute PA in May.

The randomly selected winner will be announced on Commute PA's social media pages in early June.

Commute PA can be downloaded from the App Store. For more information, please visit the Commute PA website.

Commute PA (formerly PA Commuter Service) receives funding through PennDOT and the region's Metropolitan Planning Organization through the Federal Highway Administration.
