French Open: Emma Raducanu, Dominic Thiem and Simona Halep among other big names absent due to wild cards

Emma Raducanu is one of several Grand Slam winners missing from the list, with Dominic Thiem, Caroline Wozniacki and Simona Halep also absent.

Raducanu has reportedly withdrawn from next week's WTA 500 event in Strasbourg, which takes place in the same week as French Open qualifying, in a possible sign that the Briton is gearing up for qualifying.

U.S. Open champion Thiem also did not appear on the list.

Thiem reached the French Open finals in 2018 and 2019, but did not receive a wild card for the tournament in his farewell season.

Halep will return to clay this week for the first time in more than two years to compete at Trophee Clarins on the WTA 125 Tour, where she received a wild card.

Richard Gasquet and Ajla Tomjanovic do appear on the wildcard list.
