The mobile industry is quietly preparing for the biggest change to smartphones in a decade – iSIM will hasten the end of SIM cards and allow networks to preload plans on the device


New research claims that the mobile industry will undergo a major transformation over the next two years, moving towards integrated SIMs (iSIMs).

A new study from Juniper Research predicts that the number of iSIMs installed in connected devices worldwide will increase significantly, jumping from 800,000 in 2024 to more than 10 million in 2026.
