Pizza Hut added the Cheeseburger Melt to its menu this month.

The chain's first foray into the burger business features a thin pizza base with a Parmesan crust that is folded over and stuffed with beef.

“Toppings” include applewood smoked bacon, onions, mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

Serve with burger sauce to complete the culinary experience.

Pizza Hut guests can order a cheeseburger pizza with crispy fries (or four boneless wings) and Pepsi from My Hut Box (prices start at $6.99).

However, this novel product may not be popular with all customers.

“Am I the only one who finds this whole product uninspiring and boring?” one user wrote on Reddit.

“I'm glad they're trying something…but try something else.”

Another person compared it to the Papadias sold at Papa John's, but said, “I'm not looking to try a cheeseburger pizza.”

“The crust is thin and too crunchy for this type of sandwich,” one person commented.

“Wasn't the Domino's cheeseburger pretty tasty?” a fourth wrote.

From Pepsi to Pringles to Pizza Hut, which do you think are the latest logos for famous brands?

Domino's did it

In 2020, Domino's Pizza introduced a cheeseburger pizza with mustard sauce, American cheese, beef, fresh onions, diced tomatoes, shredded provolone, and cheddar cheese.

The idea came after Domino's executives noticed a spike in the use of food delivery services during the pandemic and complaints from social media users about “soggy burgers.”

However, the cheeseburger pizza will only be available for a limited time, and there are no signs that it will be sold again.

Pizza the Action

Not all Pizza Hut fans feel negatively about the new Cheeseburger Pizza.

Some people are sharing their enthusiasm for hybrid meals on social media.

“You should try it. It's the best. Try the new cheeseburger melt!,” one customer wrote on Facebook.

So, honey, a cheeseburger melt is what happens when a cheeseburger and a pizza love each other that much.

“Absolutely amazing as always – hats off to the Chief,” wrote X.

Meanwhile, other fast food chains are also putting new items on the shelves.

Wendy's is appealing to budget-conscious diners with its $3 breakfast combos.

And Taco Bell fans are divided over the return of the controversial menu item.
