Domino's Pizza MY hands over social media authority to Havas

Domino's Pizza Malaysia has handed over its social media responsibilities to Havas Malaysia.

According to a statement, Havas Malaysia will oversee the brand's always-on strategy, activation and influencer marketing efforts. The expanded remit follows a long-standing relationship between Domino's Pizza, Socialize Singapore and Havas Play.

“We have worked with the Singapore team for a long time and have always been impressed with their creative and integrated solutions. We have also seen the model work seamlessly in both Singapore and Malaysia,” said Linda Hassan, group chief marketing officer for Domino's Pizza Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia.

“We were hugely impressed with the energy and creativity displayed by the Havas Malaysia team, their in-depth knowledge of social media trends and their ability to execute meaningful, results-driven strategies. We are pleased to extend this partnership and look forward to working with the team,” she added.

The company said the social media contract win is due to the close integration and collaboration across Havas Village, and between Singapore and Malaysia in particular.

He added that this expansion of mission not only signifies a deepening of relations but also opens the door to new possibilities and challenges.

“We are extremely proud and excited to partner with Domino's Pizza in Malaysia. This collaboration is a fantastic opportunity and the Havas Malaysia team appreciates Domino's energy and willingness to take creative risks,” said Havas Malaysia chief executive officer Nizwani Shahar.

Domino's Pizza is not Havas' only recent assignment: in early April, the Hong Kong Football Club (HKFC)/Standard Chartered Football Sevens 2024 appointed Havas Play and Havas Social to manage its event management and social media operations.

Leveraging its experience in running sporting events such as the HKFC Tradition Rugby 10s, Havas will be responsible for creating a seamless experience for football enthusiasts, players and fans, while Havas Play and Havas Social will work together to run the entire event, secure sponsorship and spread the message through social media.
