Global biometric systems provider Fingerprint Cards has partnered with major technology provider and integrator Valid to focus on secure solutions for the identity, mobile and payments ecosystem.

The partnership between Fingerprints and Valid focuses on addressing growing security concerns among Brazilian consumers using contactless payments. By integrating Fingerprints' advanced biometric technology into payment cards, they aim to increase user security and convenience.

Fingerprints specializes in developing biometric technology and incorporating it into a variety of security products, including payment cards. Their second-generation T-Shape® sensor modules and software platform are critical to enhancing the security features of new biometric payment cards.

Valid has taken on the role of creating a new biometric payment card.

The biometric payment card will be launched in June 2024 at the Febraban Tech event in São Paulo.
