Wrexham fans are confident a transfer domino effect will help them land a Championship striker.

Wrexham fans believed the transfer domino effect would end with the signing of a Championship-playing striker.

Wrexham are currently preparing for life in League One having been promoted from the fourth tier.

The Welsh club has enjoyed a surge in supporters since Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought the club in 2020.

Since then, the club has been promoted two divisions from the National League and will return to the Football League for the first time in 15 years in 2023, having achieved promotion for the second consecutive year last season.

Wrexham, thanks to the funds at their disposal and the club's upward trajectory, were able to convince players to play for them even if it meant relegation to a league or two below.

In 2022, Elliot Lee moved down from the Championship to join the National League club, while a year later former Premier League stars James McClean and Steven Fletcher joined League Two Red Dragons.

In a recent interview with Rio Ferdinand, Reynolds explained how he convinces potential signings that Wrexham is the right club for them.

For now, Wrexham are set to strengthen their attack with the signing of striker Tom Bradshaw, who is currently with Championship side Millwall.

The 31-year-old scored just four goals in the second tier last season but Wrexham believe it will help him adapt to life in League One.

Millwall manager Neil Harris has laughed off the possibility of a move for the striker but Macaulay Langstaff's arrival at Millwall could expedite a move.

Millwall announced on Monday that they had signed Langstaff from the Nottingham club in the coming weeks.

On social media, Wrexham fans have speculated that Millwall's signing of a new striker means the club are preparing to sell Bradshaw.

One Wrexham fan tweeted: “@Official_NCFC are amazing [Notts County]It would be great to sell Langstaff for a pittance so that Parkey's tricky Reds can get Bradshaw for free.”

Another commented: “Congratulations Macaulay on the move. Hopefully this clears the way for Wrexham to sign Tom Bradshaw.”
