The Rotary Club of Andalusia will host the 48th World Championship Domino Tournament on Friday and Saturday, July 12th and 13th.

2024 Miss World Domino Queen Ivy Rogers

Domino players from across the United States will be in Andalusia trying to take the title from defending singles champion Norman Turner of Ozark, Lyndon Livingston of Kinder, Louisiana, and Ricky Lambeau of Kansas City, Missouri. Who are the defending doubles champions?

This year's tournament offers a guaranteed prize pool of more than $20,000, with a $5,000 first-place prize to the singles winner and $2,500 each to the doubles winners.

Additionally, the club will host a Fantastic Domino Sweepstakes and steak dinner on Friday night with a $15,000 prize pool. Tickets for the Sweepstakes are $100 and give holders a chance to win the cash prize and two dinners. This year's dinner will be catered by Benji and Amy Mikel, owners of Tabby D's.

Early registration is $100 per player for adult singles or doubles. Late registrations have a $10 fee. The club also hosts tournaments for teens and children.

During this week's tournament, Ivy Rogers will serve as the 2024 Miss World Domino Queen. Ivy will be in attendance for the raffle and awards ceremony.

The Rotary Club of Andalusia, which sponsors the WCDT, originally held a similar contest, but in recent years the Rotary Club has partnered with the Outstanding Young Women of Covington County program to crown a DYW as Domino Queen.

The event will be held at the Kiwanis Community Center, 20096 S. Bypass in Andalusia.
